Savannah Photography

The orb I caught on film!

Some photos I took around Savannah! Enjoy!

Savannah Fun

We went to Savannah, GA for our 5 year anniversary. We had a great time. We went with our friends Tim and Stacey Brown who live in Atlanta. We spent 2 nights at their house and 2 nights in Savannah. Thanks to Jim's parents and my dad who watched the kids we were able to have a nice long relaxing weekend.

We took a Trolley tour when we got into town to get a lay of the land. That night we headed out on a Ghost Pub Tour. While it was entertaining it wasn't much of a haunted tour. Although I did catch two Orbs on my camera which was pretty cool.

On Sunday we had brunch and then took the tour to the visitor center and went through the museum. From there we took the tour down to Forsyth Park and then walked our way back. There were so many neat churches, buildings and squares to see. I got some great pictures. The guys went back for a nap and Stacey and I went to Juliette Gordon Low's childhood home. This is who founded the Girl Scouts. We then headed down to River Street and walked all of the shops, had a Margarita and had fun people watching! We went to an English Pub for dinner and then headed to a bar to watch the Cavs game. It wasn't the ending we wanted, but we had fun at the bar.

It was a nice weekend away, wish it would have lasted longer!

Operation Declutter!

We decided that it was time to try and get some of the clutter out of the house! With two kids that is no easy task. We started in the Laundry room. Here are some before pictures:

We ended up taking out the big cabinet we had in there and putting that in the basement. We added some wall cabinets above the washer and dryer and then put in a bench and some cubbies for our shoes. Just need to figure out the decoration and we will be done!

We also bought a hutch for the sunroom. While it ended up being a bit larger than I thought it would look I like how it turned out.

The last thing we did was add knobs to all of the cabinets. Not sure why it took me so long to do this. Other than the cost, it was so easy to do!

Savannah's Last Day of Gymnastics

We put Savannah in gymnastics this year. She started out in the parent/child class and quickly moved into the 3/4 year old class without a parent. She was the youngest but she did really well and really enjoyed gymnastics. Here are some pictures from her last day and her "participation" award :)

My 1st 5k in quite a while

Well I have been training for the last few months to run the MMRF 5k. I was a bit worried because I wasn't able to train for two weeks when CJ was sick. Paychek came into town to run with me. We ran the whole 5k except for the big hill out of the flats. We ran it in about 40 1/2 minutes which was faster than I had ever run before. Even though I said I hated running for some reason I kind of like it. So we will see how that goes! And the best part of all of this was that the MMRF raised money for research for Multiple Mylemoa which is the cancer that Jim's dad has.

Mother's Day

This year on Mother's day we headed to brunch with Jim's family. It was a very nice relaxing day.
